Verizon’s Droid 2 has finally been rooted, by the cool cats at xda-developers of course. Those of you lucky enough to have a Droid 2 be sure to check it out, but a warning: as usual proceed with caution!

Smashing Magazine has released a free iPhone application, Color Stream by Sahil Lavingia, geared towards web designers working on designs on the go.

Word’s on the net that Canon’s PowerShot G11 successor is getting near, the G12. Not much seems to have changed from G11 to G12 other than inclusions of HD video recording (looks to be 720p) and some slight cosmetic changes, ergonomics.

It looks like Nokia’s N900 is slowly reaching its end of life, in preparation for Nokia’s new MeeGo flagship. Now’s the time to buy! Deals are popping up all over the net, it’s clear that the N900′s successor is just, around, the, corner… stay tuned!

Nokia’s official blog confirmed this morning that the N97 mini will in fact be shipping this week, world wide.

Peter Schneider, posted an update on the N900′s shipping date. Looks like the N900 should start shipping within the following weeks.

Due to “strong customer demand” Amazon has consolidated their new Kindle and Kindle International into a single, $259 model.
